I stayed at the Clybaun Hotel for a wedding, and while the warm welcome and spacious room set a good tone, my experience was marred by several issues. The breakfast was decent, but I found the noise levels from functions overwhelming, making it hard to relax. Overall, I appreciated the attentive service and clean facilities, though I left feeling like improvements are needed.
Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and tidy, although it overlooked the car park and lacked scenic views. I noticed the beds were comfortable but found the pillows a bit flat.
Service
7.0
The staff were efficient and responsive, particularly the reception team who checked on my comfort after I arrived. However, I felt let down by the lack of noise management during my stay.
Location
6.0
Situated in a residential suburb, the hotel is about three miles from the city center. While this distance provides a quieter environment, it did mean I had to rely on taxis to explore Galway.
Dining
7.0
I found the dining options adequate, especially O’Gorman’s Bar for a casual meal. The breakfast buffet was standard, but I think the continental selections could use some enhancement.
Facilities
7.0
The gym was well-equipped and the pool areas maintained nicely, making it easy to relax. However, the noise from events made it hard to fully enjoy the amenities.

I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at the Clybaun Hotel for my wedding anniversary with my family. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, particularly at check-in, and our Executive Suite was very spacious and comfortable. I loved the chocolate treat they left for us, which added a nice personal touch. The hotel’s vibrant atmosphere and clean facilities, including the pool, enhanced our experience, although I did find the evening bar service lacking.

I had a good two-night stay at the Clybaun Hotel, where the spacious and clean rooms made my time comfortable (although the shower's water pressure could be improved). The dining experience was a highlight; the quality of the food, like the delicious baked salmon, stood out. While the pool had to be pre-booked, that was a minor inconvenience given the easy access to leisure facilities nearby.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed, especially at the reception. However, the room left a lot to be desired; it was outdated and not as clean as I had hoped. The dining experience was also hit or miss, with some meals being enjoyable while others were quite disappointing.

My stay at the Clybaun Hotel was fantastic, with a welcoming atmosphere and great leisure facilities. The staff proved to be incredibly attentive, especially in the restaurant, which had a varied and delicious menu. However, I did face some challenges accessing the leisure center, given the need for a key card for different areas. Overall, I would certainly return for the excellent experience.
